Steven Wright Clarkson

Steven started his musical career playing alto sax in middle school and high school. His first string instrument was a guitar, but the mandolin has been his primary instrument since 1996. His musical style is unique and makes for great devotional or background music. We thank you for your interest in Steven's music. I also have two beautiful children who I adore very much.

I grew up in Miami, Fl and attended Duke University. I spent the first 4 years of my career in the US Army with a tour in South Korea. I have also taught english in Japan and taught world culture in Austin. I am a full time musician and author (In the process of writing my first book) at this point. The book may be published by Christmas of this year. It's just about one Christian's vantage point concerning the world we live in.

I play an Eastman DG1 and a Trinity College though I have tasted the delight of many builders in the past. Weber, Brentrup, Phoenix, Dickinson, Rigel, Altman, Eastman etc are are in mix. My hat's off to all these builders. It takes a lot of time to build a custom instrument. Each is different and the builders deserve respect. I personally love learning a new instrument. That is part of who I am.

God speed,

Steven
